About This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Orra Health & Wellness (“Orra”, “we”, “us” and “our”) collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information when you visit our website, contact us, book a wellness service, purchase a product or course, create an account, participate in online learning or otherwise interact with us.

We aim to handle personal information transparently and responsibly. Where the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles apply to us or a particular activity, we will handle personal information in accordance with those requirements.

02

Personal Information We May Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Identity and contact information — such as your name, email address, phone number and address.
  • Booking information — such as appointment details, practitioner preferences and service history.
  • Health or sensitive information — where reasonably necessary for a wellness service, including information you choose to provide about health conditions, treatment history, pregnancy, allergies, symptoms or other relevant circumstances.
  • Purchase and account information — such as orders, course enrolments, account details, transaction records and progress through online learning.
  • Communications — including enquiries, feedback, support requests and correspondence with us.
  • Technical and usage information — such as IP address, browser/device information, website interactions, cookies and analytics data.

03

How We Collect Personal Information

We may collect personal information directly from you when you complete a form, make a booking, purchase a service or course, create an account, contact us, subscribe to communications or provide information to a practitioner.

We may also receive information through service providers that support our operations, such as booking systems, payment processors, ecommerce and learning platforms, website hosting, email services and analytics tools.

If you provide personal information about another person, you should ensure you are authorised to provide it and that the person understands why the information is being provided.

04

Why We Collect, Use & Disclose Information

We may use personal information to:

  • provide and manage wellness appointments and client services;
  • assess suitability and support the safe delivery of services;
  • process purchases, payments, refunds and course enrolments;
  • provide access to online learning and customer accounts;
  • respond to enquiries and provide customer support;
  • send service messages, booking confirmations and account notifications;
  • improve our website, services, courses and customer experience;
  • protect our systems, prevent fraud and maintain security;
  • comply with legal, regulatory, insurance, accounting or professional obligations; and
  • send marketing communications where permitted and where you have not opted out.

05

Health & Other Sensitive Information

Some Orra services may require information about your health or other sensitive circumstances so that a practitioner can understand your needs and consider whether a service is appropriate.

We will only seek sensitive information where it is reasonably necessary for our functions or activities and where collection is permitted by law, including where your consent is required.

Please do not send detailed health information through general website forms unless it is reasonably necessary. Where a dedicated booking or client system is available, use that system for treatment-related information.

06

Payments & Financial Information

Payments may be handled by third-party payment gateways or booking platforms. We may receive transaction details such as payment status, amount, order reference and limited payment-related information needed to manage your purchase.

Payment card details may be collected and processed directly by the relevant payment provider rather than stored by Orra. The provider’s own privacy and security terms will apply to information it processes.

07

Cookies, Website Data & Analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to make the site function, remember preferences, understand how visitors use the site, measure performance and support relevant marketing.

Analytics information may include device, browser, approximate location, pages viewed, referring pages and interactions with the website. You can manage cookies through your browser and, where available, website consent controls. Disabling some cookies may affect website functionality.

08

When We Share Personal Information

We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to operate our business, including to:

  • Orra practitioners and authorised staff who need the information to provide services;
  • appointment booking and client-management providers;
  • website hosting, ecommerce, learning management and technical service providers;
  • payment processors and financial service providers;
  • email, communication and customer-support providers;
  • analytics, security and fraud-prevention providers;
  • professional advisers such as accountants, insurers and legal advisers; and
  • government authorities, regulators or law-enforcement bodies where required or authorised by law.

We do not sell personal information to advertisers.

09

Overseas Service Providers

Some technology and cloud service providers we use may store or process information outside Australia. The locations may vary depending on the provider, its infrastructure and the services enabled by Orra.

Where applicable privacy law requires us to take steps in relation to overseas disclosures, we will take reasonable steps required by that law. You may contact us if you would like current information about material overseas service providers used for your information.

10

Security & Retention

We take reasonable administrative, technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

No website or electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us promptly.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and to meet legal, professional, insurance, tax, accounting or record-keeping obligations. When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete it, destroy it or de-identify it where appropriate.

11

Accessing or Correcting Your Information

You may contact us to request access to personal information we hold about you or to ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.

We may need to verify your identity before responding. In some circumstances, applicable law permits or requires us to refuse access or correction. If this occurs, we will provide an explanation where required.

12

Marketing Communications

Where permitted, we may use your contact details to send news, offers, course updates or wellness information that may be relevant to you.

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe option in the message or contacting us. Opting out of marketing will not prevent us from sending transactional or service communications that are necessary for bookings, orders, accounts or courses.

13

Children & Young People

Our website is not designed to knowingly collect unnecessary personal information from children. Where a service, booking or course is made available to a person under 18, we may require involvement or consent from a parent or guardian where appropriate to the service, the person’s capacity and applicable law.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us inappropriately, please contact us so we can review the situation.

14

Privacy Questions & Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled personal information, please contact us using the details below and explain the issue. We will review the matter and aim to respond within a reasonable period.

If the Privacy Act applies to the matter and you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) or another relevant regulator.

15

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technology providers, legal obligations or information-handling practices change. The current version will be published on this website and will show the date it was last updated.

We encourage you to review this page periodically, particularly when you begin using a new Orra service or online feature.
